CSA Bouquet Share

4 WEEK BOUQUET SHARE ~ $80.00

Pickup Location

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. A flower CSA works the same way as popular vegetable CSAs. A customer/member typically joins in the winter/early spring before the growing season starts. Their payment helps our farm buy seeds and other supplies for the coming year.

In return for your “investment”, members receive a stunning weekly bouquet of premium, organically-grown flowers at a far better price than if purchased at retail. When you join Svedin’s Nursery’s CSA, you’ll be getting only blooms that have been grown without any synthetic chemicals in a field where nurturing nature through biodiversity and sustainable practices is top priority. We grow our flowers right here in the Treasure Valley- Nampa, and they are usually picked the same morning as members get their share! This is in stark contrast to the half-dead flowers at the supermarket that have been shipped in from South America or Africa and were picked several days, even weeks, earlier.

Make Life more BEAUTIFUL!

12 WEEK BOUQUET SHARE ~ $150.00 – You pick up at Svedin’s Nursery

SPRING PLANT SHARE ~ ONE-TIME SHARE ~ $55.00

This CSA share is a one time pick-up of 30 locally grown plants to fill your own cutting garden at home. Plants come in a deep cell tray that ensures a large anvc. The mix vcvvc plants consists of approximately 85% annual varieties and 15% perennial and biennial varieties.

IF CARED FOR PROPERLY, THESE PLANTS WILL PRODUCE ENOUGH FLOWERS TO KEEP YOUR HOME FILLED WITH BOUQUETS ALL SEASON.

All plants are grown from seed by Svedin’s Nursery in our greenhouse using only best practices so that they are robust and ready to go right into your planting beds. The exact mix of plants in this share will be determined in late March once we see how everything germinates, but all will be good for sun/part-sun and average soil conditions. All make excellent cut flowers and foliage for your own backyard bouquets.

The following are some possible plants in the share. The shares will be much more diverse than this short list of examples. Shares may not all be identical.

There is no cut flower quite like the Zinnia. A lover of full sun and hot weather, it happily flowers through the dog days of August and into the fall. We grow the Benary Giant variety and find it’s large bloom and bright colors scream Summer.

Ammi majus goes by the common name False Queen Anne’s Lace, but it’s anything but true bliss in bouquets. The lacey heads full of millions of teeny tiny white flowers instantly inject any arrangement with a romantic quality.

A much loved bloom for us is our Dahlias. We have many favorites and we know this beauty will be sure to be at the top of your new favorites list.

Fresh cut snapdragons (Antirrhinum majus) are always a marvel for their beautiful and abundant spikes of delicate colors and the honeyed fragrance (yes, fragrance!) that each blossom exudes.

Black-eyed Susan (Rudbeckia) is an instant reminder of the relaxed summer days of childhood and picking wildflowers along the road. Varities for cutting have tall stems and add cheerful charm to bouquets.

Plants come in a deep cell tray, the perfect size for planting straight into the garden. Since we are growing these plants for you from seed or cuttings that may not produce as planned, Love ‘n Fresh reserves the right to substitute varieties as needed. All plants are grown using organic fertilizers and sustainable practices. Plants will be hardened off so you can plant immediately into your garden without any additional care.

You will receive an email with the pick up details in mid-April once we see how the spring weather is unfolding. Pick up will take place at Svedin’s Nursery.

If you have any questions before ordering, please email svedinsnursery@gmail. We’re happy to help!

Bucket shares are not pre-arranged, but rather an assortment of flowers and foliage that members use to create bouquets at home.

Bucket shares are stuffed to the brim and come in a 6 quart bucket that you return each week when you get your new batch of blooms. We clean the buckets and re-use them for the CSA throughout the season so there is no wasted packaging. The flowers in this share are loose stems, meaning they are not arranged in a bouquet. (With advance notice, members have the option to add a bouquet to their share any week if they need more flowers for a special occasion or gift.)

The bucket share is a great choice for members who love to create their own floral art and have multiple bouquets around the house. It is also great for local restaurants that want to fill bud vases on their table and have flowers on the hostess station.

You can share your share!! Since our flowers last so long, sometimes you don’t need a new batch every week or you might be going on vacation during the summer. You can absolutely have someone else pick up your share whenever you like. Consider splitting it with a friend where you alternate weeks.

Buy more than one share for a longer season of blooms! If you’d like to have more than 4 weeks of flowers from our farm in your home or business, simply order more than one share here in the online shop and we will coordinate with you to receive your share throughout the summer. For example, order 2 shares and get 8 weeks of flowers!
