Description
Thimble cactus is a small barrel cactus, at maturity it is the size of a golf ball. It will grow offsets that will break off if the plant is roughly handled. The spines curve backwards so they do not poke for the first couple of years, as they get older they will send a few spines straight up that can poke a person if they are not careful. They will form a nice mat after a period of several years.
